Hi there, I'm Ashlee Dangerfield, your local State Farm Insurance Agent here in Gassaway, WV!

I’m a Braxton county native, and after living in North Carolina for many years, I was fortunate enough to return home to West Virginia and open my own office in the community that means so much to me. I’ve been working in this industry for decades starting with offering insurance policies door-to-door across the East Coast before pursuing my long-time goal of helping educate and protect my friends, neighbors, and fellow community members right here at home. My insurance career began in 2007, and I continue to expand my knowledge of Auto Insurance, Home Insurance, Life Insurance, and financial products so I can better serve the people and families who count on us.

I officially joined State Farm as a team member in 2015, but I was no stranger to the company. My mother has been with State Farm for more than 24 years, and today she works alongside me at Ashlee Dangerfield State Farm, along with my sister and a team of local professionals that I consider family as well. My team truly cares about the well-being of our community. We know many of our customers and their families by name, and we strive to create a welcoming, small-town environment where everyone feels comfortable. I’m proud that our agency has earned State Farm Honor Club recognition, and we were ranked #27 nationally among new State Farm agents in 2025.

From helping someone protect a new vehicle to preparing for the future with life insurance or safeguarding a home, we’re committed to providing the service our customers deserve. We proudly serve customers throughout West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. We’re also a pet-friendly office, and our office dogs are always happy to greet visitors.

My passion is helping people feel safe and protected from life’s unexpected events, and that passion extends to helping animals in need. For more than a decade, I’ve worked closely with animal adoption and rescue organizations to support our furry friends. Our office regularly participates in community fundraisers, sponsors local youth sports teams, partners with local businesses on community events, and offers a pet pantry outside our office for neighbors who need a little extra help caring for their pets. My team enjoys staying involved in causes that make our community stronger.

My husband, Jon Dangerfield, and I live here in Gassaway with our eight rescued pets: dogs Stevie, Crosby, Hallie, and Deacon, along with cats Margaret, Daphne, Matilda, and Luca. When I’m not in the office, you’ll usually find me browsing thrift and antique stores, crocheting, enjoying game nights with family and friends, kayaking, gardening, or taking advantage of the natural beauty that makes West Virginia such a special place to call home.
